I bought this a few months back to do doors and since then I have used it for so much more. I used it for my maple floor install in the dining room, crown molding, chair rail and baseboard trim in the dining room. Inflating the tires on my car. I friggin love this thing. The nailers work great. The nail head sink doesn't always work the best but I assume that's my fault if I am shooting a nail in an odd direction. This compressor is definitely a better value than the porter cable one I bought before this that had a defective valve stem on the pressure gauge and broke off.

GREAT value! I've been using this in my wood shop for a few months now, and can say I'm very pleased! Keep it oiled (as the instructions say!), close the drain valve on the bottom (as the instructions say!), and follow normal compressor maintenance and I think you'll be very happy with this purchase. Release the air when you are finished with the project, make sure you drain using the screw on the bottom every month or so (condensation sets in, followed by corrosion), and you won't have some of the problems other reviewers have left.

I just bought this combo at lowes on sale for $199. The compressor is great. It is much quieter than they used to be. Runs smooth and I would say I got a new one in the box. What I am not happy with are the guns. I could swear that they are reconditioned. The paint is all scratched up, brad nailer had dirt on it. I had this same set back in 2004. Same price. Had to sell it but I recently had use for them so I bought this set. Cheap must be the new norm. The 2004 set, the guns all came in plastic cases, they gave you oil and wrenches to maintain them. Not now. The 2004 set came with a lot of sample nails. Now you don't even get enough to fill the guns. The staples were just thrown in the box and were broken. The strip of brad nails were in a "u" shape. The air hose leaks air pretty good.
I love bostich but the product I got must have been a return or recon. Lowes may have something to do with the condition of this product, but the quality of products are getting worse and you are paying more and getting less. I may return this product, not sure yet.

But I cannot help feeling disappointed that the nailers and stapler in the kit do not come with carrying/storage cases. Each case retails for approximately $25. Without them I do not have a good way of storing the nailers and stapler.
